Deep Creek Hot Springs Photo Diary

The first adventure of 2017 was a day trip out to Deep Creek Hot Springs in Hesperia, California. After a muddy off-roading detour, making a wrong turn at the fork, retracing our steps, and a run-in with an old creepy stranger in a van (swear I felt like that encounter was going to be the end of us), we finally made it to Bowen Ranch. After paying the man at the front $5 per person, we parked our car, and made our way down to the springs. The hike was fairly easy and pretty much all downhill. The most difficult part was probably the ice cold wade across the creek. The hot springs were amazing! Various pools with varying temperatures of heat... and a handful of nudists haha. I respect it though! To not have a care at all must be such a freeing feeling. Spent a couple hours soaking in the pools, had a little picnic at the highest peak, and then made our way back up to the ranch. Treated ourselves to some delicious all-you-can-eat Korean barbecue at one of our favorite spots in Riverside, Koreana- yum. This first week of 2017 consisted of a fancy little NYE get-together with my closest gal pals and their boos, visiting art exhibitions, exploring nature, doing things I love with people I love, and setting the tone for the year ahead. I can't wait to see what this year has in store.
