New York City Photo Diary

I celebrated turning a quarter of a century old in a city I've dreamt of visiting for so very long- New York City. I remember I was 19 when I first started saving up to visit New York. All of a sudden that fund turned into a study abroad savings. By 2014, I ended up in London for half a year, came back, and never got around to visiting. Fast forward seven years later and I finally got to spend a week in this dream city of mine doing all the things I had planned to do when I was just a teenager. Visited the MOMA and saw the Starry Night in person, did all the typical toursity thangs, ate everything mostly inspired by Master of None/David Chang, and completely fell in love with the city. For so long, I had this irrational fear of visiting NYC because I was scared it wouldn't live up to the super romanticized version of it in my head, but it did that AND MORE. From the food to the art to the architecture to the street style to the hustle and bustle- my goodness, I love New York.

It seems like an unpopular opinion and whenever I say it, it's as if someone is always ready to throw hands haha but I truly love growing another year older. I love the prospect of getting wiser, settling more into the person I'm meant to be, and becoming more deeply rooted in my self-confidence and self-love. At 25, I love all that I am and all that I'm not, I love the relationships I've cultivated with the people I consciously choose to surround myself with, and I'm so content with everything that I've experienced and everything I have planned ahead. I'm surrounded by so much love and light and my gratitude is endless.
