Alberta Photo Diary

Last month, my friends and I took a trip out to Alberta to visit Banff National Park for Andrew's 26th birthday. We spent one day exploring the city of Calgary and the rest of the days in Banff. We went white water rafting, scaled down canyons to find hidden gems, chased waterfalls, took in the views via aerial tram, visited the lakes, trekked through snow, and ate lots and lots of poutine and ketchup chips. I found that I love Canada for more than just their beautiful contributions to the world (aka Trudeau, Biebs, Gosling, and Drake lol). So happy to have discovered that Canadians actually live up to their stereotype of being the friendliest humans on Earth. Even the highway patrol that pulled us over for speeding was super friendly about it! And man, the views- just breathtaking.

It was strange being in Canada somewhat feeling like I wasn't but was in a different country. It had been a really long time since I got to use my passport for travel and it was a nice little reminder that there's so much more to experience, so many different cultures to learn about, and so many more people from different walks of life to meet. I absolutely adored Canada and can't wait to go back.
